Pleasant View, Shiawassee County’s medical care facility, , invites trick-or- treaters to visit the staff and residents on Tuesday, October 31. Children of all ages are welcome to stop by between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. to show off their costumes, collect treats and participate in ghoulishly delightful Halloween games.
Walls that normally showcase clocks, medical charts and visiting hours will now display an array of festive decorations, according to Life Enrichment Director Amy Conklin. Residents, patients, staff and family members will temporarily transform into their favorite characters for the evening while monsters, superheroes, princesses and cuddly critters make their rounds among some of the elderly residents who will sit with buckets of candy.
“Residents adore the children and enjoy seeing all the different costumes,” says Conklin. “It’s an activity we look forward to and the kids really brighten everyone’s day!”
Pleasant View is located in Corunna at 729 South Norton.
Candy donations are welcome and can be dropped off at the reception desk in Pleasant View’s main lobby.
