Mayor Chris Eveleth announced on Monday night that after six months of careful deliberations, the Owosso City Council voted to invite Nathan Henne to be the city's next manager.

Nathan graduated from Owosso Public Schools in 2004.  His parents were both employees of Owosso High School; his mother, a teacher, and father, Vice Principal.

Henne currently serves as City Manager of Springfield Michigan.  Prior to that, he was in Lake City Colorado.

Eveleth said the city contacted every current city manager in the State of Michigan and posted the job in several locations as part of its search for a new city manager.  Twenty four first round candidates were wittled to four.  The four finalists participated in a "meet and greet" event followed by a set of extensive interviews.

Uplift Shiawassee is excited to welcome Nathan Henne back to Curwood Country.
