Shiawassee Council on Aging: Morrice Senior Center is hosting the following activities and events for the first part month of January.

  • Wednesday January 3 there will be an art class featuring painting the 1225 Train with acrylic from 12:30-2:00.  There is a $3 fee for those 60 and older and a $5 fee for those under 60.  Reservations are required
  • Monday January 8 from 3:00 to 4:00 is Tech Support with the help of the Morrice Honor Society. 

WII Bowling is now offered at the center on Wednesdays at 10:30. Come have some fun and test your skill.

The center hosts bingo every Monday following lunch.   The euchre group continues to meet Monday & Thursday afternoons at 1:30 p.m. and Pedro is played on the second Tuesday of the month at 1:00 p.m.  Exercise class is held every Tuesday and Thursday at 9:30.  In addition, the center will host an Alzheimer’s Support Group on January 8 at noon.

Lunch is served three days a week, Monday, Wednesday, & Friday at noon; if you are interested in coming please call the center at 517-625-4270 or come in the day prior to make your reservation for the next day.   Please note that the center has adopted new hours: Monday, Wednesday, & Friday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. & Tuesday, Thursday 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.
