The new businesses will take up space in the former Curves and Potter & Roose Insurance storefronts, and Woodworth says it is working on a plan for the former Jumbo Video location as well.
Jumbo Video abruptly closed in January 2017.
The largest space in the plaza, the 35,000 square foot former Carter's IGA grocery store, has been vacant since Carter's filed for bankruptcy and closed in 2006. The store had operated in Durand since 1964.
There were plans in 2015 to open a new store called WOW Grocery in the former Carter's space. WOW Grocery would sell expired but edible food. Those plans never materalized.
